Can she get an amen?

Maren Morris has seen her life change in the blink of an eye. From daydreaming about becoming a professional songwriter back in her native Texas home to rising into Nashville’s one-to-watch artist, Morris’ growing career has allowed her to tick goals off one-by-one and it’s still not fully sinking in.

“It seems like almost every day I’ve been able to cross things off my bucket list,” Morris recently told People Magazine.

After penning her debut single, “My Church,” a little over a year ago, Morris has experienced quite the lifestyle change. The track blew up all over country radio, leading her to incredible opportunities one after the next.

Morris headed across the pond with fellow artists such as Sam Hunt, Little Big Town and many others to perform at the sold-out C2C Festival held in London at the O2 Arena. Fans went wild for her hit single and found themselves revived as they belted the choruses along with Morris.

The dream didn’t end there, though. Without even as little as an EP or album out on shelves, Morris got the call of a lifetime from Keith Urban himself about an offer she couldn’t refuse. Morris was asked by Urban to join him for his upcoming tour and she immediately jumped on board.

“It felt like a prank just for a second,” admitted Morris.

Artists from all around got the gist from Urban that Morris was the real deal, and she began racking in the connections here and there. Dierks Bentley texted her to sing a duet with him for his new record, which led to the production of the song “I’ll Be the Moon” from his upcoming album.

A big moment for Morris so far: playing All for the Hall 2016, featuring Vince Gill and Urban as her backup band. Not exactly the norm for a country newcomer, if you ask her.

“I’m just singing, but looking back and seeing Keith and Vince both singing harmonies to lyrics I’ve written,” Morris said. “It’s just so, so crazy. It’s like a dream.”

While Morris is on the uphill ride to finding crazy success, she knows how to keep her roots planted hard in humble ground.

“I want to be gracious and thankful as I can because it has been a long road,” she shared. “I just feel like I finally found the right town and the right song.”
