Maren Morris Stuns with Performance of ‘80s Mercedes’ on ‘Ellen’
Just as Morris sings in her hit, she (and her car) will never go out of style and her strong vocals definitely emulated why she is one of the top nominees for this year’s CMA Awards.
Taking her talents from Nashville to Los Angeles, Maren Morris appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform her latest radio single, “80s Mercedes.”
Dressed to impress in a neutral-toned crop top and glittered hotpants, the country star wowed the audience with her soulful crooning throughout the vintage car ode. Just as Morris sings in her hit, she (and her car) will never go out of style and her strong vocals definitely emulated why she is one of the top nominees for this year’s CMA Awards.
After the performance, DeGeneres surprised the crowd by telling them they would be going home with a copy of Morris’ top-selling debut album, Hero.
Rolling with the good news, Morris just announced that she will be heading out on her first-ever headlining tour, The Hero Tour, in 2017. Playing a few shows in some major cities throughout the U.S., Morris plans to add more dates along the way to have her fans come out to see her. Tickets will go on sale for the tour on Friday, October 21.
It’s been quite the whirlwind year for Morris with all of the accomplishments she’s garnered throughout her time in country music. Leading the pack with five nominations for the 50th Annual CMA Awards, Morris will also be performing at the highly-esteemed awards show among many other of her fellow nominees. The country singer will also be heading to Tortuga Music Festival next April to perform alongside Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton and many more.
