Michael Ray can start to “Think a Little Less” about where he is on the country radio charts because he’s made his way to the top of the list with a new No. 1 single.

The country singer earned his second-ever No. 1 song with the romantic serenade that has garnered a lot of attention from fans and fellow artists alike. Written by heavy hitters Barry Dean, Jon Nite, Jimmy Robbins and country superstar Thomas Rhett, Ray could not contain his excitement when he got his top-notch news.

“I’m excited every time I step on stage or hear my songs come on the radio,” Ray said about the big accomplishment. “That’s why I started playing in bars at 17 years old. To have a second No. 1 song is so incredible, and I want to say thanks to country radio, my fans and all the people that worked so hard on this. I FaceTimed my dad when I found out, and it was pretty emotional. He’s been there beside me, encouraging me, on this whole journey – so a special thanks to him!”

This marks the second time Ray has found massive success on the charts, following his first No. 1 track, “Kiss You in the Morning.” Both songs come off his wildly successful self-titled debut album, which worked its way into the Top 5 on the Billboard Country Album Chart when it released.

The Florida native is expected to release new music later this year.
