Reba Debuts Faith-Filled ‘Back To God’ Music Video

"Can't go on like this, and live like this / We can't love like this / You can hope the best, make a wish / The only answer is / We give this world back to God,” the legendary singer croons in the chorus.

Reba is singing a message of hope and healing in the music video for her new song “Back To God” from her upcoming double album, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope.

The cinematic clip, directed by Mason Dixon, was shot in Nashville at the Tulip Street United Methodist Church and Mount Olivet Cemetery and perfectly blends the storylines into one connective piece.

“You gotta get down on your knees / Believe, fold your hands, and beg and plead / Keep on prayin’ / You gotta cry, rain tears of pain / Pound the floor and scream His name / Cause we’re still worth savin’ / Can’t go on like this, and live like this / We can’t love like this / You can hope the best, make a wish / The only answer is / We give this world back to God,” the legendary singer croons in the chorus.

“I’ve been asked a lot lately about why now was the right time to release this song,” said Reba in a press release. “I think it is always the right time to give it back to Him because we seem to mess things up on our own. We all need to just love each other more unconditionally, without judgment because we can’t do this on our own.”

Reba co-produced the song, written by Dallas Davidson and Randy Houser, with her musical director and band leader Doug Sisemore. “Back To God” is featured on the second disc of the two disc project, set for release on Feb. 3 through Nash Icon Records and Capitol Christian Music Group.

Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope will also feature collaborations with Kelly Clarkson and Trisha Yearwood, as well as a song written with Reba’s mother Jackie McEntire and vocals from her sisters.

Fans who pre-order the album now will receive an instant download of six songs from the project, including “Back To God” and “Softly and Tenderly.”
