Ever since Sam Hunt’s career skyrocketed, everyone who is anyone wants to collaborate with the Georgia native. And by anyone, we mean Snoop Dogg.

Hunt surprised fans at Stagecoach this year when he brought out rapper G-Eazy and Bebe Rexha and followed them up with Snoop Dogg. To thank Hunt for his Southern hospitality on the stage, the rapper pitched a few tracks to Hunt to use on his second album. While unsure about actually taking the songs for his next project, Hunt was awfully surprised by the gesture and quite excited about the session.

“I was just flattered that he was interested enough to offer those opportunities and contribute, Hunt told Rolling Stone Country. I love that, stereotypes aside, he loves music and genres don’t matter.”

For the next few months, Hunt is putting the music-making aside and going full-on into the tour life. He recently kicked off his time onKenny Chesneys Spread the Love Tour and will hit up a few festivals along the way as well. Come fall though, fans can expect Hunt to get back into the writing mode for a second album.

I’m just collecting as many ideas as I can, whether they’re mine of someone else’s, and just getting ready to go back and hole up in Nashville this fall and find out what works best for the future of our music,” he shared.

Hunt is currently prepping for touring by promoting his latest single, Make You Miss Me, which is at Country radio now.
