Sarahbeth Taite’s Spontaneity Is Leading Her Down the Path to Success

With baby blonde hair and bright brown eyes to match, Sarahbeth Taite seems like your stereotypical girl-next-door. But with a songwriting deal and singing career to boot, Taite is much more than what meets the eye.

At just 17 years old, Taite waved goodbye to her home in the small college town of Fort Collins, Colorado, for the bright city lights of Nashville to take her music career to the next level. She left behind everything she knew—including her closest friends and family—and took the leap of faith with her songs by her side to follow her artistic dreams in the country music world.

Inspiration struck once Taite became adjusted to the Tennessee lifestyle and her single, “He Loves Me,” was created. Using the universal feeling of getting heartbroken, Taite knew she had the perfect way to channel her emotions.

“You always just need a fun song,” Taite explained. “I’d recently gone through a little breakup situation. I just think it’s a fun take on when you feel that heartbreak or somebody dumps you. It was just like the perfect therapy moment for us that day, so it was really fun.”

Taite and her crew went on to make as she called the, “infamous,” video for the single. After meeting up with director, Marcel, after one of Taite’s shows for Logan’s Roadhouse, they suddenly got all the equipment together for the last-minute video shoot outside of an abandoned grocery store in Nashville.

“At that point, it’s like 11:30 at night and we’re like packing up. I’m ready to go to sleep ‘cause I’m just like a grandma. So we were just like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna jump on it,’ and we went to the Harris Teeter parking lot at midnight. We bought yellow daisies from the Kroger and we filmed it in two hours and it was the most spontaneous fun thing ever,” said Taite.

Spontaneity is basically Taite’s middle name. After the fun she had seeing her video debut on CMT and finding out that she is going on the Music City Live Tour with Logan’s Roadhouse, she is just letting life take the wheel wherever it may lead her.

“I never know what’s gonna happen within the next month, let alone the next year which is so fun and that’s like my favorite part about my life right now,” she said.

With the release of her self-titled E.P. earlier this year, Taite is excited to take her music on the road for the first time and meet fans from all across the country. She hopes this year brings bigger and better opportunities and is up for anything that gets thrown her way.

“I just think it’s gonna be a really good year. I think last year was really transformative for me and I mean, you just look back and where you started in January is completely not where you end up in December. I think that’s just the nature of this business, but it’s really awesome to watch.”
