Sturgill Simpson is letting the world know exactly who he is with a stand-out performance on the 59th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

Donning an all-black ensemble, Simpson took the stage with the Dap-Kings Band for a performance of his song “All Around You.” Simpson was front and center for his GRAMMY debut, while the horns added an extra layer to the song.

Simpson was an early GRAMMYs winner when he claimed the award for Best Country Album for his self-produced record, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth. He took home the trophy over Keith Urban’s Ripcord, Maren MorrisHERO, Loretta Lynn Full Circle and Brandy Clark’s Big Day in a Small Town.
