Tara Thompson brought her sass and style to the stage as she made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday (April 30).

The country newcomer traded in her traditional uniform of a t-shirt and jeans for a little black dress and heels to match as she took the legendary venue by storm. Opry member and beloved artist Vince Gill introduced Thompson to the iconic stage for the first time. She performed her own style of Loretta Lynn before breaking out into her hit single, Someone to Take Your Place.

Feeling on top of the world, the native East Tennessean expressed her excited emotions to the crowd and mentioned that this debut set was something shes been thinking about for a long while.

Tonight I got to achieve one of my top goals, Thompson said. And Vince Gill just introduced me! This is surreal, thank you to the Opry for making one of my biggest dreams come true.

Thompson sang her true-to-life stories she writes about for the Opry crowd as they welcomed her with open arms. Family and friends were among many fanatic attendees to the event, cheering her on throughout her autobiographical set.

This special performance for Thompson was just the first look at where shes headed from here, as she will perform on the CMA Fest Park Stage on June 11 at 2:30 p.m. Fans can be on the lookout for her new project with The Valory Music Co. in the next coming months.
