Teamwork makes the dream work, so that’s exactly why Thomas Rhett is getting his fans riled up about a collaboration with a special country guest.

Rhett took to his Instagram page to announce that he would be putting out a track called “Craving You” as his next single with the help of Maren Morris to lay down some vocals. Both artists had incredible years in their career last year, scoring No. 1 hits and award nominations left and right. While the two have never previously collaborated, it’s safe to say their voices will melt together like butter on this upcoming tune.

“I remember hearing ‘Craving You’ and was immediately blown away by the story behind the longing of this guy who can’t wait to see his girl again,” said Thomas Rhett in a press release. “There’s this 80s vibe that’s rocking throughout this track that makes it really euphoric. It was so nice to be able to work with Maren whose voice is undeniably powerful and soulful, and just really adds a lot of intensity to the song.”

“Craving You” will be the first that fans hear of Rhett’s forthcoming third studio album, which he has not revealed very many details about as of yet. Based on his last successful record with Tangled Up though, listeners can expect a new side of Rhett’s music in the next months ahead.

Speculations could possibly even be made about the fact that Rhett and Morris may team up to perform “Craving You” at the upcoming ACM Awards. While nothing has been confirmed, the duet would definitely make headlines between the two dynamic country singers.

Tune in to the 52nd Annual ACM Awards to see if Morris and Rhett take the stage together on Sunday, April 2, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
