Thomas Rhett’s Family Visits Sesame Street
The videos of Willa with Cookie Monster and Abby are ADORABLE!
Thomas Rhett has had the opportunity to do a lot of amazing things during his career, but this might take the cake. The singer, along with his wife Lauren Akins and daughters Willa and Ada, visited the set of Sesame Street for a magical day.
Both Willa and Ada were overjoyed to see the loveable puppets in person, with Willa declaring Abby as her best friend.
“Oh. My. Word. It’s the BEST. Day. Ever” -Willa Gray (And she keeps calling Abby her “best friend”) Talk about a childhood dream come true! We got to go to Sesame Street!!,” wrote Akins with a series of photos posted to Instagram.
“Yesterday was one for the books! My family and I had a blast getting to be a part of Sesame Street! Can’t wait for y’all to see this,” added Rhett with his own collection of snaps from the day.
Among their posts was an adorable video of Willa interacting with Cookie Monster. While the cookie-crazed monster normally gobbles up any sweet treat placed in front of him, he eagerly shared with the little girl.
The Akins clan isn’t the only country family to visit the set of Sesame Street. Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris recently stopped by and celebrated Hurd’s birthday on the famed street. Other appearances have been made by Little Big Town, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and even Johnny Cash.
