Travis Tritt Joins Shania Twain and Jake Owen for ‘Real Country’
Each episode will last an hour and will feature solo artists, duos, and groups participating in showcases by honoring the traditions, song, and themes of different country genres. The winner of each showcase will compete against each other in the final episode of the season for the chance to become one of country music’s next breakout acts.
When talking about joining the show, Tritt said, “I’ve been influenced by so many amazing country music artists in my career, and the key to longevity is using those influences as inspiration to become something unique. I’ve never been shy about how I feel about country music so I can’t wait to join ‘Real Country’ to share my experiences and thoughts. Like I always say…if you don’t want my opinion don’t ask me a question.”
Tritt’s career in music began almost 30 years ago, so he’s certain to have good advice to give to new artists that are vying to make it big in country music.
Real Country will be filmed in Nashville and Twain will serve as an executive producer, along with Nicolle Yaron, Stijn Bakkers and Leslie Garvin.
