Jana Kramer Doesn’t Care for ‘Unwarranted Advice’ from Mommy Shamers
"Unwarranted advice is not what moms want," the singer says.
As a full-time country artist, actress, and mother, Jana Kramer takes all the help she can get.
Connecting with fans that just so happen to be raising babies just as Kramer’s doing with her daughter Jolie means the world to her. Getting to know their stories and relating to the hurdles that come with parenting, Kramer understands how difficult the work-life balance can be on a mother.
With parenthood, though, comes some negativity as Kramer has experienced in the past from mommy shamers online who criticize her choices when it comes to Jolie. Although Kramer respects the idea that everyone is allowed to make their own decisions, she finds it hurtful when people try to fix her parenting skills that don’t necessarily need a change.

“I know everyone has an opinion; everyone has a right to an opinion. What frustrates me is when they think they know something better. Unwarranted advice is not what moms want,” Kramer told People at a recent music festival.
Taking the rude words in stride, Kramer brushes off her haters by focusing on the important things in life, such as working on her music and making sure Jolie always remains happy and healthy. As long as the steadiness is there throughout each of the aspects of her life, Kramer enjoys making those relationships with fellow mothers while out on the road and finds comfort in their encouraging advice here and there.
“It’s really nice, and I feel like it’s another way of moms being able to help [other] moms, encourage them,” explained Kramer. “And showing you can do it all. You can be a great mom and a great businesswoman.”
