While she may not have that much time to spare, Underwood still plans to stop her busy life to enjoy and relax during the holidays with friends and family.

With the days quickly ticking down to Christmas Day, it seems like Carrie Underwood’s busy schedule may get in the way with the traditional decorating and celebrating. But never fear because the country superstar has the holidays down to a science in coordination to her hectic lifestyle.

Right now, Underwood is jamming out with Keith Urban on the Australian leg of his Ripcord Tour night after night. But the minute she gets home, she plans to bring out the one Christmas essential that she believes is necessary to make any home festive: the famous fir tree.

“By the time I get home [from tour], I’m probably not going to bust out everything, but we’ll put up a tree,” she said to People Magazine. “You have to have a tree!”

After an extremely quick break back in Nashville, Underwood will pack up her bags yet again, but not for work. Her and her husband, Mike Fisher, along with their son, Isaiah, will make visits to both his family in Canada and hers in Oklahoma to squeeze in some quality downtime with her loved ones.

“We will be spending Christmas with Mike’s family in Canada, and then I’ll probably go to Oklahoma to see my family,” she told People. “Mike’s team is very demanding, and there’s just no time to do both. When he retires, we’ll adjust our scheduling, because we owe my family a lot of Christmases!”

While Underwood has no immediate plans after the holiday season is over, fans can still listen to all of her hits on her album, Storyteller, including her current single, “Dirty Laundry,” which is on radio now.
