49th Annual CMA Awards – Complete Winners List

The 49th Annual CMA Awards aired Wednesday night live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The show, which was hosted for the 8th time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, included red-hot performances, superstar collaborations, and a few surprise winners.

Chris Stapleton was the evening’s top winner, going three for three, completely sweeping each of the categories he was nominated in. Not only did he win the trophy for New Artist of the Year, he also took home the CMAs for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for his debut solo album, Traveller.

“I feel lots of love. It’s a short answer, but it’s a real one,” Stapleton told press backstage after the show.

Another big winner was Luke Bryan, who earned his second consecutive CMA Entertainer of the Year trophy.

“I put so much pride in giving all I’ve got every night performing, getting off the stage with ice packs on my knees and out of breath,” Bryan shared. “This is a night where I can go ‘Gosh, people are paying attention to that.'”

Earlier in the show, Little Big Town garnered multiple wins for Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year for their mega-hit “Girl Crush.”
