Adele ‘Set Fire to the Rain,’ or at least set fire to Instagram when she traded in her signature black frocks and winged eyeliner for a Dolly Parton get-up to honor the country icon.

Clad in an over-the-top bleach blonde wig and peach-colored pantsuit, Adele even showed off a bit of cleavage to pay tribute to one of her idols during a random evening costume time. Although Adele never confirmed why she dressed like Parton for the night, she still confessed her love of the country singer alongside her fabulous photo shoot pic.

“The effortless queen of song, Dolly Parton! We love you! We wish We could possess an ounce of your ability. You were the hero of our night! A hero of my life. I’ll always love you x,” Adele wrote as her adorable caption.

The best part? Adele won over the hearts of many, including Parton herself who went on Instagram to comment, “I will always love you,” with three heart emojis tagged on. She later posted an adorable video to thank Adele for channeling her inner Dolly.

Despite popular belief, Adele actually has a few country ties including covering Lady Antebellum’s massive hit, “Need You Now,” with Darius Rucker at a previous CMT Artist of the Year broadcast. She even revealed how inspired she was by Lady A that she wrote “Don’t You Remember” from her album 21 in light of them.

Although the “Someone Like You” singer is on a bit of a break from the whole music scene, Parton is making her rounds by promoting her children’s album and raising funds for her Imagination Library.
