Children of the ‘90’s will soon rejoice for some Backstreet Boys-inspired sound to cross over into country as AJ McLean debuted his first-ever country single with “Back Porch Bottle Service.”

Taking a step out of his comfort zone by switching genres, McLean doesn’t seem too lost on the spirit of country as he settles into the summer anthem track. The laid-back tune focuses on the idea of savoring a night in with a special someone rather than the lavish life out at the expensive bars and overcrowded clubs.

McLean could not wait for this moment to arrive, and feels proud to have accomplished something new under his belt. Discovering his passion beyond his boy-band past meant the world to him, and he’s glad to share the moment with fans everywhere.

“This is such a surreal feeling,” McLean wrote on Instagram. “I can’t believe the moment is finally here. #BackPorchBottleService is out now! Your support so far has meant the world to me and I can’t wait to hear what you all think. Listen wherever you get your music now at the link in my bio. Let’s go!!!”

Although it may be his first solo endeavor in the format, McLean has been experimenting with a twangier sound during his many trips to Nashville. Working together with Florida Georgia Line on their smash collaboration, “God, Your Mama, and Me” featuring the Backstreet Boys, the singer got a spark of the style and went on from there to follow his next career dream.

“Back Porch Bottle Service” is available on digital platforms at this time.
