Although they are already stars in the music community, Sam Moore and Alabama are about to get their own stars in Nashville.

Moore, who is known for his hit, “Soul Man,” and the legendary group Alabama will be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame on May 26. They will receive the 71st and 72nd stars respectively on the Walk during the induction ceremony.

“This year’s inductees to the Music City Walk of Fame prove once again the dazzling scope and sweep of Nashville’s musical history,” Mayor Megan Barry said at the announcement.

Both Moore’s and Alabama’s careers have come with huge success. Thanks to their fusion of various genres to the country music scene, they have created music that will last a lifetime for their fans and for all listeners.

“Alabama is one of the great country groups of all time. They created a stunning blend of voices and musical styles to top the charts over and over and over again. Sam Moore’s incredible vocals and stage moves helped make Sam & Dave one of the finest rhythm and blues acts in music history,” explained Barry.

Getting a star on the Music City Walk of Fame is no walk in the park. To be inducted, one must contribute to the significant background of Nashville, which translates to creating important music in relation to the city and its themes. Nonetheless, it is an honor that both artists have earned throughout their time in the music industry.
