Pink, pink and more pink!
It’s a girl for Angaleena Presley and her husband Jordon Powell! The couple excitedly learned the gender of their upcoming arrival with a sweet gender reveal party over the weekend. Surrounded by family and friends, including Presley’s Pistol Annies bandmate Ashley Monroe, the couple and her 11-year-old son Jed cut into a cake to reveal a pink center.
Seeing pink was surprise for both Presley and Powell, who had both assumed the baby was a boy the whole time.

“We both guessed boy. I had a gut feeling that it was a girl but remained in denial until the moment it was confirmed,” Presley shares with PEOPLE. “We had a whole list of boy names but hadn’t really even scratched the surface on girl names.”
“The moment we found out was glorious,” she adds. “We were surrounded by close friends and family and there was a literal gasp when big brother cut the cake and revealed that we were having a girl. The whole rest of the day was filled with talk of tea parties and frilly hand-me-downs.”
Presley’s pregnancy announcement was shared to the world by Miranda Lambert when the Pistol Annies made a guest appearance on the Bandwagon Tour.
“See, one of us is drinking, one of us is smoking and one of us is not taking our pill,” Lambert said as she pointed to Presley, as seen in a video posted by Kiss Country 93.7.
The new addition, who arrives in January, was a welcome surprise for the couple, who decided to leave the prospect of a growing family up to a higher power.
“When I turned 40 my husband and I decided to put the decision to have a baby in the hands of fate. A year and a half after we ‘stopped being careful’ we were blessed with two pink lines. To say the least, we were both shocked and overjoyed,” she revealed previously. “As an outspoken female artist, I feel like this is just one more thing that I’m meant to take on in this life. I’m ready to rock being an older mom. I have an 11-year-old son who’s so excited to be a big brother. A long time ago, Lori McKenna, one of my favorite artist/songwriter moms, told me it would be easier to have another one when my first one was old enough to babysit. I guess I took that to heart.”
Baby Powell will be the first child for the couple, but second for Presley, who welcomed Jed 11 years ago. The couple married in 2012.
In addition to preparing for a new baby, Presley, Monroe and Lambert are planning the release of their long-awaited third Pistol Annies record, set to make its debut later this year.
