Ashley Monroe and her husband, Atlanta Braves pitcher John Danks, are expecting their first child together!
The singer, 30, shared the exciting news with fans on Christmas Day with an adorable announcement on social media.
“Best present ever,” she wrote, along with a photo of an ultrasound decorated with emojis. “Merry Christmas everyone.. so many new things coming in 2017!! ❤”
Congratulatory comments poured in after Monroe shared the news. Kacey Musgraves, who announced her engagement earlier in the day wrote, “Yessss!!! CONGRATS HUNNY,” while songwriter Nicolle Galyon said, “WOW!!!!! The best ever. So excited you.”
Monroe and Danks wed in the fall of 2013 after meeting through a mutual friend in 2011.
Monroe’s latest album, The Blade, was released in 2015 to critical acclaim.
