Behind-The-Scenes With Brett Eldredge, Old Dominion at ACM Awards Rehearsals

Preparation for “Country Music’s Party of the Year” is underway in Las Vegas, and the Sounds Like Nashville cameras got a sneak peek at some of the ACM action on Thursday night.

Old Dominion and Brett Eldredge were some of the first acts to rehearse for the 51st Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, and we had a chance to chat with the nominees/performers inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena after they ran through their performances several times on the big stage.

Making their ACM performance debut on Sunday is Old Dominion, who is already a big winner ahead of the ACM Awards. Recently crowned New Duo/Group of the Year, the group is more than excited for their first major awards show performance.

“We’re just laughing, walking up from the backstage and I said, ‘I think it’s hitting me right now. It just hit me.’ So of course, it feels great to be in here. Looks great. Sounds great.” OD’s Brad Tursi told us.

Brett Eldredge, who will perform his latest chart-topper, “Drunk On You,” on the show admits he still gets “butterflies” with big performances like this one.

“It’s still fun to come to Vegas but when you get to perform in front of millions and millions of people, it’s pretty special.” Eldredge, a Male Vocalist of the Year nominee, shared.

Fans can catch Old Dominion, Brett Eldredge, and other superstars, like Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, and Tim McGraw, perform on The 51st Academy Of Country Music Awards. The show will be co-hosted by Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley and will broadcast live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 3 at 8:00PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
