Beyoncé knows how to slay all day and did so alongside famed country trio Dixie Chicks during a performance of “Daddy Lessons” from Beyoncé’s album, Lemonade and “Long Time Gone” from the trio’s Home album.

Putting together the Southern sounds of the Chicks with Queen Bey’s R&B vocal stylings, the collaboration was an unexpected one that everyone never knew they needed in their life. With the Dixie Chicks dressed in all black ensembles and Beyoncé sporting a whimsical sheer silver number, they mashed up the two girl power songs to prove how strong they are as female artists in their respective genres.

It was announced earlier that Beyoncé would be attending the historic country music awards show, and it’s no surprise of why she sang with the trio as they have been covering her songs for quite some time during their shows out on the road.

The 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards has hosted a number of incredible collaboration performances like Alan Jackson and George Strait, Carrie Underwood with Brad Paisley and Randy Travis and many more.
