It has been 12 years since Billy Currington’s first No. 1 song, but he has no interest in forgetting what that accomplishment feels like or letting up anytime soon. Currington just hit the top of the Billboard Country Airplay charts with his 12th career No. 1, “Do I Make You Wanna.”

“Do I Make You Wanna” is the second song from Currington’s Summer Forever album to score the top spot. Written by Ashley Gorley, Zach Crowell, Matt Jenkins and Jerry Flowers, the song follows the hit “It Don’t Hurt Like It Used To” with a happier and more carefree approach to love.

“This album, Summer Forever, is the album that keeps on giving.” states Billy.  “Having the song ‘Do I Make You Wanna’ become my 12th No. 1 hit is beyond gratifying and so rewarding. I want to thank my team, my label, my co-writers, country radio and most of all you, my fans! This could have never happened without the fans, so a deep felt thank you to all of you.”

While Currington’s songs have seen plenty of spins on the radio, he will never lose the gratitude he has for the stations who keep playing them for fans to hear.

“Every time, I say, ‘thank you.’ Every time,” he explained. “I always heard if you keep saying ‘thank you’ to everything that you love, you’ll get more of it. Every time I hear it, that’s the first thing I say.”

Currington is currently on the road through August as he wraps up his headlining Stay Up Til The Sun Tour.
