Billy Ray Cyrus just released a new heartwarming video for one of his not-so-new songs. 11 years after the release of the track, Cyrus celebrates his family man status with a video full of home movies from his life at home. It is one of Cyrus’s most sentimental projects, featuring footage of his own childhood, as well as adorable moments of his own children at young ages.

Cyrus captioned the video with, “My Dad always said, ‘Never forget where you come from. It makes you who you are.’ And well, as usual, he’s right. #HeyDaddy with rare family footage.”

The clips of Cyrus’s childhood show the musical influence from his other family members that likely set him on his path to becoming a musician. The nostalgic video even features rare footage of his superstar daughter, Miley Cyrus, taking some of her first steps.

This is not the first time Cyrus has featured his children in a video. The 2003 video for his song, “Face of God,” stars his youngest daughter, Noah Cyrus, who is following the footsteps of her musical father and siblings by pursuing a music career herself. Videos and pictures of Miley’s childhood are featured in Cyrus’s 2007 video for “Ready, Set, Don’t Go,” a song written about Miley’s move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

The track “Hey Daddy” was featured on Cyrus’s 2006 album Wanna Be Your Joe.

Billy Ray Cyrus recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of his hit song “Achy Breaky Heart” with rerecorded swampy performance of the track done in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He also recently revealed told that he has plans to legally change his name to Cyrus after August 25.
