Blake Shelton is celebrating the Fourth of July with a bang as his latest hit, “Every Time I Hear That Song,” has topped both the Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts this week. The song marks the 24th time the superstar has earned a No.1 song.

“Holy crap, this is awesome!” said Shelton in a press release. “I just recently had a birthday and, as I get older, I have a greater appreciation for everything. First and foremost, thank you to the fans for making this crazy career possible. To country radio and everyone who works so hard, thank you! I am so proud of If I’m Honest and to have another No. 1 single from that album with ‘Every Time I Hear That Song’ is thrilling. I also want to extend a special thank you on this Fourth of July holiday to the first responders and service men and women who keep this country safe!”

The news of his chart-topping hit comes just days after Shelton and powerhouse vocalist Kelly Clarkson performed for the U.S. Armed Forces at the opening ceremonies of the 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games. Held in Chicago, IL, the event invites numerous wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans to take part in Paralympic-style competitions.

“Every Time I Hear That Song” is the third No.1 song from Shelton’s gold-certified album If I’m Honest, following the singles “Came Here to Forget” and “A Guy With A Girl.” Shelton will have some time to revel in his latest accolade before heading back to Los Angeles to act as a coach on the upcoming season of NBC’s The Voice.
