Blake Shelton and girlfriend Gwen Stefani are taking their relationship to the next level.
The superstars will join forces for a very special performance of their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” on NBC’s The Voice.The song will make its world premiereduring the popular signing competition show on Monday, May 9.
This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written or recorded, Shelton said in a press release.It came from a time and place when Gwen and I were beginning our journey together and both experiencing a hard time letting our guards down with each other. The song couldnt possibly be more honest. I’m honored to have written and performed this song with the great Gwen Stefani. Respect.
“Go Ahead and Break My Heart” appears on Shelton’s upcoming 12th studio album, If I’m Honest, out May 20. The album’s first single,Came Here to Forget,” entered the Top 5 onBillboardHot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts this week.
Next month, Shelton will head to Nashville for a special performance at The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to celebrate the opening of his exhibit,Blake Shelton: Based on a True Story.
