Blake Shelton Gushes Over Gwen Stefani’s American Music Awards Performance

Blake Shelton may not have been in attendance at tonight’s 2015 American Music Awards, but it appears he was there in spirit.

Just before his new girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, took the stage, the 39-year-old told his 14.4 million Twitter followers to “Prepare for greatness.” Minutes later, Stefani took the stage to perform her latest hit, “Used To Love You,” a very personal song about her recent divorce.

After her performance, Shelton once again took to Twitter. This time, he re-tweeted a fan who told him, “I thought her performance was the best of show fabulous.” He responded with “Agreed.”

The pair officially announced that they were a couple earlier this month. That same day, they showed some PDA at a CMA Awards after party in Nashville. Since then, they’ve been getting pretty flirty on the set of The Voice. When Ellen DeGeneres recently asked Stefani how she was doing post divorce, she responded saying, “I’m in a good place. I’m having a lot of fun,” Stefani said. “It’s like a whole new life, a whole new chapter. It’s been so great to be on The Voice and be around all that music.”
