Blake Shelton is turning to his friends in country music to help mentor his The Voice team. For Season 13, the superstar has enlisted the help of Rascal Flatts to help give his group of musical hopefuls the advantage they need to win.

“You know, Blake asked us to come out and to help mentor some of his contestants,” Flatts’ Gary LeVox told Extra TV. “It’s just been fun working with them. Blake’s got such a great ear, turning his chair around and finding great people, so it’s been awesome to meet with them and just give them some pointers, some tips. It’s been a lot of fun working with them… a lot of talent, a lot of talent on Team Blake.”

The men of Rascal Flatts may pull double duty on the show, as Shelton has big plans for them to perform together sometime during the course of the season.

“Yes, I’m going to. This is my show and and people do what I tell them to do and so I’m telling them… that I’m going to make Rascal Flatts perform with me,” he joked when asked about a possible live collaboration.

Blake Shelton will return to The Voice for his 13th season with fellow coach Adam Levine. Joining the two coaches will be Miley Cyrus for her second season and Jennifer Hudson, making her coaching debut.

The Voice returns to NBC on September 25.
