Blake Shelton was honored with a party to commemorate his No. 1 rank on the charts for his first single off his If I’m Honest record, “Came Here to Forget.” Little did Shelton know that he was in for an even bigger surprise than just earning his spot at the top.

In a video posted on Shelton’s Twitter feed, the country singer seems to be leisurely signing a guitar while hanging out in some behind-the-scenes room. Although it appears that only Shelton and another lady are the only ones in the room, there is also a random Home Depot box sitting on the ground near Shelton’s feet, which could cause confusion for why that would be put there.

Immediately after finishing his autograph on the instrument, up pops Shelton’s stylist, Amanda, yelling “Surprise,” and giggling the whole way through. The “She’s Got a Way With Words” singer jumps as anyone would during a brief scare and then proceeds to give his friend a big hug.

On Tuesday afternoon (8/30), Shelton was awarded with a No. 1 plaque for his single, which marked his 22nd No. 1 song on the charts as well as his 17th consecutive single on country radio. He was honored alongside the songwriters, Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan, as well as his producer, Scott Hendricks and many others in his team.

Shelton also attended and performed at the 10th Annual ACM Honors last night, which will air on CBS on September 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
