Blake Shelton has made himself quite comfortable on the set of the Today show as he stopped by the Rockefeller Plaza to perform and talk with the hosts of the popular morning talk show.

“I feel like I’m on the staff here now,” he told Savannah Guthrie and the Today show crowd. “I’m here all the time!”

While Shelton is no stranger to the NBC sets, he didn’t take any time putting on his hilarious persona for the hosts who feel the mutual love for the country singer. Shelton performed hits like “Came Here to Forget,” “Boys Round Here,” “She’s Got a Way With Words” and “Sangria” for the huge New York City crowd. Between songs, he even got friendly with the audience by going around and signing autographs for lucky fans.

When he wasn’t performing on the Plaza stage though, Shelton chatted it up with the Today hosts about his latest album, If I’m Honest, his relationship with Gwen Stefani and his ever-changing look throughout his career. Just as he always jokes around, the hosts made Shelton get flustered over his old-school mullet look from the start of his career by playing the photo reel of the vintage pictures over and over again.

“Oh my God, please take those…what the hell is wrong with y’all,” he yelled as the footage rolled over the television screen. “Take those pictures off there. People are just waking up! You’re ruining their day!”

Besides the kidding around, Shelton got a little more serious when chatting about tour and his pop-up shows he’s been putting on recently. But nevertheless, Shelton’s visit was just a good ol’ time for all from the interviews to the performances.

Check out some of the clips of Shelton’s Today show visit and be sure to listen for his latest single, “She’s Got a Way With Words,” on country radio now. Shelton will also be returning to his role as coach on the 11th season of The Voice on August 21 at 10:30/9:30c on NBC.
