Although Blake Shelton got off to a rough start in selecting his season 14 team for The Voice, his lineup is getting to be stacked full of big voices after the fourth episode of blind auditions. After Tuesday night’s episode, the Oklahoma native added three more hopefuls to his team, bringing his total to nine.

Spensha Baker took the lit-up stage first with a soulful rendition of The Beatles’ “Blackbird.” While hitting every note and adding her own flying riffs, it took quite some time before Shelton and Kelly Clarkson decided to turn around at the same time with each other. As the competition between Clarkson and Shelton stiffened, the pop singer offered her support while the country star hoped she join his crew for his 14th anniversary of being a coach.

Once Baker admitted that country was her genre of choice, Shelton petitioned hard that she could be the change that his industry needs and Baker went along with what he was saying enough to join onto his team.

It was the unique song arrangement that intrigued both Shelton and Adam Levine when Wilkes performed “One Headlight” with a strong confidence in his voice throughout the chorus. Without a hitch, the two pressed their big red buttons to see the red-headed singer jamming out before trying to reel him in to their respective groups.

At first, Wilkes seemed as though he would lean more in Levine’s direction due to his rock-and-roll tone but it was Shelton that gained another member when the contestant moved with Shelton’s tonal compliments.

Doo-wop made its big revival in Jaron Strom’s performance of “This Magic Moment,” originally sang by Ben E. King. Stealing hearts with his smooth moves and even more suave sound, Shelton told the other coaches how much he liked his vocal abilities and took a chance with a swivel of the chair. As none of the other stars turned around, Strom’s default choice lied with Shelton and the decision made the country singer into one very happy coach.

New episodes of The Voice air Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
