For the sixth time, a contestant on Blake Shelton’s team was named winner of NBC’s The Voice.

23-year-old Chloe Kohanski, a Nashville, Tenn. native, was crowned winner of the reality competition show during Tuesday night’s finale (Dec. 19), making Shelton the coach with the most wins ever on the show.

Kohanski had a roller coaster of a journey throughout her time on The Voice. The rocker, who auditioned with Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain,” was told by Shelton at her blind audition that he could envision her in the finale. Along with Shelton, both Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus turned their chairs with Kohanski choosing to be a part of Team Miley.

Cyrus made a huge mistake, however, when she decided to let Kohanski go during the Knockout Rounds and keep contestant Ashland Craft. Shelton and coach Jennifer Hudson battled it out when they both opted to save her, but ultimately, Kohanski chose to join Shelton’s team.

Shelton never had any doubts about Kohanski’s abilities, often praising her for her unique style.

“I have been sitting in this seat for 13 seasons and I have never heard a more well-rounded voice than that right there. I’ll be damned if you’re not a star, Chloe,” he told her (quote via the Washington Post).

The Oklahoma native’s premonitions came to reality when host Carson Daly read Kohanski’s name at the close of the star-studded finale show, during which she performed “White Wedding” with Billy Idol.

On top of being crowned the season’s ultimate winner, Kohanski landed a record deal with Universal Music Group and the $100,000 prize.

The Voice will take a brief hiatus before returning in February for season 14. Joining the panel of coaches will be Shelton, Levine, Alicia Keys and first-time coach Kelly Clarkson.
