Blake Shelton Tried Sushi for the First Time with Jimmy Fallon…and It Was Hilarious

Jimmy Fallon forced Blake Shelton to try sushi for the first time, and it was just as hilarious as you’d imagine it to be.

Fallon brought the Country superstar to celebrity favorite Nobu in New York City, and lucky for us, The Tonight Show cameras caught the entire thing on video.

“You never tried sushi before?” the host asked Shelton. “I mean, no, not the raw stuff,” the Oklahoma native admitted.

The pair’s tasting began with sake (aka rice wine), which Shelton thought tasted like “easter egg coloring.”

Up next was several courses of sushi and sashimi. While the “Came Here To Forget” singer admitted to liking the one that he described as looking like a “human tongue,” he wasn’t a fan of everything he put in his mouth. He described the tuna nigiri as having a texture like “Play-Doh,” and kept asking for more “rice wine” throughout the clip.

Perhaps the most hilarious moment came when the pair took a shot of sea urchin gonads.
