Now that the viewers at home selected their three favorite contestants to compete for the title of becoming the next ‘American Idol,’ radio host and comedian Bobby Bones will make his return as a mentor to the singers in their last days on the series.

Bones first came onto the new season of American Idol in the early days of the top 24. He gave great insight as an industry professional to the young potentials vying for a spot in the finale. The time has finally come, and Bones can’t wait to guide the participants on the right path to hopefully earn the winning prize.

“I’m back to mentor the top 3 this week! The last week for American Idol this season. Thanks to you guys for the support …,” Bones said to his Instagram followers.

Not only has Bones given advice to the contestants throughout the season, but other famous faces have stepped in to provide help to everyone on the show. Carrie Underwood made a big impression on the top five, while Nick Jonas and Idina Menzel critiqued the hopefuls on their performing confidence.

Even the judging panel of Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan put in their two cents after every live rendition in order for the singers to grow throughout their journey on the show.

Bones will appear on the upcoming episode of American Idol, airing on Sunday, May 20, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
