Just as Brad Paisley drove right into the release of his most recent album, Love and War, he’s making even more laps around the track with a couple song contributions to the Cars 3 soundtrack.

Working together with the imaginative minds of Pixar, Paisley added two instrumental tracks called “Truckaroo” and “Thunder Hollow Breakdown” to the listing. Written by the country star themselves as original pieces, Paisley feels honored to be a part of the creative team that completely changed the face of cartoon films as viewers know it.

“Well, it’s the honor of a lifetime. My good friend John Lasseter has reinvented an entire form of entertainment, and animation…with digital animation, because he…he’s the one, that with Toy Story, was the birth of the digital animation, 3D animation age. Then he went, and was given the reins to Disney, and on his watch they’ve done Frozen and Zootopia, and given Pixar a run for its money…and he’s still involved with Pixar! So, he’s basically taken both companies to the forefront of excellence,” explained Paisley.

This isn’t the first time Paisley lent his voice to the Cars trilogy as he recorded “Find Yourself” and “Behind the Clouds” for the past movies. Even country trio Rascal Flatts added their voices to the film with one of their most iconic singles, “Life is a Highway.”

The Cars 3 Motion Picture Soundtrack, as well as the film, comes out on June 16.
