Singer Brandon Lay and Wife Welcome Baby Boy Ryder

The singer and his wife Nicole welcomed their first child, a son, on Thursday, Sept. 27.
“Welcome to the world Ryder Knox. God is so good. He and Nicole are doing great and we appreciate all of the prayers and support. Here we go @nicolejlay. You are the toughest person I know and the rock of our family. I love you,” wrote Lay with a photo of him snuggling his new bundle of joy.
Nicole also shared a photo of their sweet boy, writing “God is so good! My heart is so full and grew in ways I didn’t know possible. @brandonlaymusic continues to exceed all my expectations and I love him even more, which I didn’t know was possible. Thankful for God’s strength, protection, and wisdom today.”
The rising country artist shared the news that he and his wife were expecting during the 2018 Country Radio Seminar. Performing at the Ryman Auditorium as part of his record label’s annual luncheon event, Lay couldn’t help but announce the great news as he played for radio programmers.
As the couple prepared for the new addition to their family, Lay kept a busy schedule out in the road, spending much of the year opening for Kenny Chesney’s “Trip Around the Sun Tour.” He also opened during Old Dominion’s Happy Endings World Tour.
