No one would take Brantley Gilbert as the one to cry, but with fatherhood soon awaiting him, he’s become quite the ball of mush over anything baby related.

After announcing that he and his wife, Amber, had one on the way come this November, Gilbert let his guard down when it came to becoming a family man and his emotions have officially run wild. Eager to make the change from merely a couple to a party of three, the country singer finds himself touched by the slightest heartwarming moments.

“I’m a little bit emotional about this stuff right now. I can’t look at an ultrasound picture without crying. Only about that, that’s it. That is literally the one thing that may get a tear out of my eyes is this baby, man.  He is something else and it’s got to where I can feel him every now and then, like if he moves she’ll call me in there and then I’ll put my hand on her belly and I’ll wait for like 30 minutes and he don’t move at all. But there’s been a couple times when I’ve caught him moving.  It’s awesome, man, we’re excited.  We can’t wait,” he said recently.

The couple joyously announced they were expecting a bundle of joy back in May after struggling with fertility issues. Letting fans know it will be a boy after throwing an intimate gender reveal party surrounded by close friends and family, the pair can’t wait to welcome their little guy into the world very soon.

With plenty of time to prepare and calm himself before baby arrives, Gilbert can focus on his music firsthand. His upcoming single, “The Ones That Like Me,” will soon hit radio and give fans of the artist another hit to drive toward that No. 1 spot.

Gilbert will continue touring until his little one finally arrives later this fall. He’s out on his The Devil Don’t Sleep Tour, in which fans can find out more about tickets and dates by heading over to his website.
