Brett Eldredge is known around Nashville as being one of the most romantic men in country music, so he knows just what to do to impress that special someone for Valentine’s Day.

He may not be taking anyone out this holiday, but Eldredge gave the great advice to keep things simple and not over-exaggerate any gestures. Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest impressions and the singer honestly suggested dates that involves quality time as his No. 1 plan.

“I think, don’t go overly, like I think the more realness of what you are or like I mean if you line up rose petals like all up over. Like you can go a little over the top sometimes, you know, fill the room with a bajillion flowers or all that stuff. Just be the best you, and be romantic, but be romantic in a place of spending time with that person, maybe in a place like this right here [Rudy’s Jazz Club in Nashville]. If I was in town, I’d probably take a Valentine date right here, you know? Something where you can really just spend time with that special person and be yourself, and if you want to give them a little bit of chocolate or something. I’m not saying don’t give them roses or something, just don’t go over the top and fly airplanes that says, ‘I love you,’ or something,” Eldredge advised to Sounds Like Nashville and other media.

Although Eldredge admitted to the single life, he reassured that his mom is his official valentine every year since she ships him a sweet package in the mail filled with all the goodies. The “Mean to Me” singer also has his furry friend, Edgar, to give him a sloppy kiss at the end of the night full of love.

“My mom is in Florida right now and she just sent me a Valentine’s gift. It’s in the mail,” he admitted. “I’m going to be rehearsing for much of this year in Oklahoma the night of Valentine’s Day so I guess that will be my date with my band. And my dog, Edgar, I guess.”

Fans can spend a night gushing over Eldredge when he hits the road with Blake Shelton for the Country Music Freaks Tour over the next couple months.
