Get the Christmas lights untangled and plugged in because Brett Eldredge is ready for things to shine! The singer has announced the title of his highly-anticipated Christmas album, Glow.

“I originally had the idea for a song called ‘Glow’ as the vision of someone you love, making your whole world light up,” said Eldredge. “It captures the simplicity of sitting next to the dimly lit Christmas tree and watching her glow in the lights. There’s a line where I compare that to the image of ‘sunshine over a field of snow.’ I grew up in Illinois and there’s no mistaking the beauty of the countryside with covered in snow. And I always try and compare those beautiful things in life to love. I always had this vision of a really bright album, making your whole heart and soul glow and I just feel like I can see this album standing out, glowing, to everyone. I always use the word magic when it comes to Christmas, but that’s the feeling that Glow gives me when I hear it. So it just seemed like the perfect title for a Christmas album.”

Glow has been a longtime coming for the Illinois native, as he’s waited for years to record his first holiday record.

“I talked to the head of my label this year and I was like, ‘How about this year be the year we do it? I think this is the big year for it,’ so I went and lived in New York for a week,” the singer dished to Sounds Like Nashville exclusively. “I didn’t tell anybody on social media. No one knew why the heck I was up there in the middle of the summer and recorded this album and lived in the studio pretty much and put Christmas lights in the studio and just lived Christmas. It was the best experience I’ve ever had in the studio. It was magic. I’m as proud of this record than anything I’ve ever done. It’s that special, so I can’t wait to put it out.”

While the track listing has yet to be announced, fans can get excited for a pending duet between Eldredge and Grammy-winner Meghan Trainor.

The country crooner recorded the record in Avatar Studios in New York, which is famous for recording iconic artists, including Bob Dylan, Tony Bennett, Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, Billy Joel, Iggy Pop, Madonna and David Bowie.
