“In Case You Didn’t Know,” Brett Young is breaking records left and right. The California native has become the only country artist to reach RIAA platinum-certification for a song released this year with his current single.

To reach platinum status, a song must reach one million sales, which Young’s “In Case You Didn’t Know” recently accomplished. The singer joins Ed Sheeran, Future, The Chainsmokers and Katy Perry in this achievement.

The song, co-written by Young, Tyler Reeve, Kyle Schlienger and Trent Tomlinson, also garnered a nomination for 2017 Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards. Since its release, the clip has been viewed more than 47 million times and held the top spot on Vevo’s Country chart for six weeks in a row.

“In Case You Didn’t Know” is the follow-up to Young’s debut gold-certified debut single “Sleep Without You” and is featured on his self-titled debut album.

Young shows no signs of slowing down as he recently wrapped his time on the Canadian leg of Thomas Rhett’s Home Team Tour and will kick off the You Look Good Tour with Lady Antebellum on Friday, 5/26 in Bakersfield, CA. He’ll also return to Nashville for the upcoming 2017 CMA Music Festival, which takes place June 8-11.
