Christmas came in October for Brett Young as he got into the holiday spirit with his beautiful rendition of the classic carol, “O Holy Night.”

The modern country twist on the original song exhibits Young’s rich and unique vocal stylings over a classical melody. With riffs peeking through the climaxing ode, Young dedicates himself back to the traditional lyric while still exuding a stylistic change unlike many past recordings of the track.

When Young heard there was a chance to make a version of his own for “O Holy Night,” he immediately got to work in the studio to produce something his fans and Christmas lovers alike would respond positively to.

“I grew up singing ‘O Holy Night’ in church, and it reminds me of so many childhood memories. There’s just something so beautiful and reverent about it that gets me in the holiday spirit every time I hear it. It is one of my favorite Christmas songs so I jumped at the chance to record it,” Young shared in a press release.

Although the Christmas season is still months away, Young decided to take the opportunity at releasing “O Holy Night” now ahead of his upcoming Caliville Tour. Hitting cities all across the country until the end of November, fans will receive their good tidings early as the CMA New Artist of the Year nominee brings his set to cities near them.

Young will be joined by Carly Pearce on the upcoming tour as the opening act throughout each of the dates. More information about tickets and venues can be found on Young’s official website.
