Just days after being named the headliner for the 2018 CMT on Tour, Brett Young has landed another huge gig: becoming the face of William Rast’s Fall 2018 collection.
The singer, along with model Stella Maxwell, will serve as the brand ambassadors for the men’s and women’s collection at several national retailers, including Macy’s, Dillard’s, Belk, Lord & Taylor and Amazon. The line was founded in 2005 by Justin Timberlake and his childhood best friend Trace Ayala, and named for their grandfathers.
“William Rast is at the intersection of music and fashion. We knew that Brett Young and Stella Maxwell could capture that intersection beautifully and deliver incredible creative,” said Karen Castellano, Fashion Division President at Sequential Brands Group, in a press release.
The opportunity to work with the brand for his debut fashion campaign was one the California native was eager to accept.
“I’m so excited to be working with William Rast,” the reigning Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards New Male Vocalist of the Year told WWD. “This is my first fashion campaign and it has been so much fun collaborating with their team. The shoot with Stella was a blast, and she couldn’t have been more sweet or helpful. I think there are a few moments where she even made me look like I knew what I was doing.”
The men’s fall collection is described as embracing the modern interpretation of Americana biker culture with a casual fit and form, while the women’s line borders between accessible tomboy and sensual woman.
