Get ready, New York City, because things are about to get a little ‘Fancy!’

The hit song, recorded by none other than Reba McEntire, inspired a brand new production in the city of theater, and will be performed in a lab presentation later this month, Broadway World reports.

Revolving around the story of a 16-year-old dreamer whose mother turns her out on the streets as a cruel form of separation, the play exemplifies both courage and determination within its dramatic scenes. Discovering fame and yet still struggling with troublesome situations as a consequence to seeking out a lifelong dream, the lead character must decide between what’s right and what’s wrong.

“Fancy is a new American musical that brings together some of the all-time greatest crossover country songs on stage with some of the theatre’s brightest talents,” said producer Margot Astrachan in a press release. “We’re looking forward to this developmental presentation and hope it will inspire producing partners to join us as we look to a production at a major regional theatre company prior to a New York production and national tour.”

Featuring hit country tunes such as “I Walk the Line” by Johnny Cash, “Before He Cheats” by Carrie Underwood and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Raitt, the musical will highlight both the emotional tolls of the lead role while mixing in the vulnerable lyrics from some of the most memorable country stars.

Fancy will be presented in New York City on Thursday, March 16, at 4 p.m. ET and Friday, March 17, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. ET at the Westside Theatre.
