Planning your perfect Fourth of July #OOTD? Fashion and lifestyle blogger Brooke Webb, also known as KBStyled, is here to help you dress for the occasion. Below, she offers up her tips for a stylish Independence Day ensemble.
Red, white, and blue; stars and stripes; backyard barbeques; pool parties and fireworks. These are just a few things that come to mind when thinking about the Fourth of July! It will be a hot one here in Nashville (and around the country), so be sure to dress accordingly. Stay cool, and celebrate America in style!
Dressing for the Fourth doesn’t mean that you have to wear stars and stripes from head to toe. You can get into the holiday spirit while still looking very chic! Personally, I love wearing red, white, and blue on the Fourth. What can I say? I’m proud to be an American!

Most of us already have pieces in our wardrobe that are perfectly acceptable to wear on the Fourth. Think basics like white, red, or navy tops; striped tees and denim shorts. A solid color or striped maxi dress is also a great option should your holiday plans call for a dressier look.

One of the easiest looks that you can create for the Fourth is pairing a white tee with a great pair of denim shorts and then accessorizing with a bandana around your neck, or even tied up in your hair. If you have a great pair of red or navy statement earrings, you could accessorize with those as well. The same applies if you have a striped tee in your wardrobe.
When wearing a striped dress, let the focus remain on the pattern and keep your accessories minimal. Wear a pair of nude or even red sandals (if you have them) and keep the rest of your accessories simple. You can also wear a solid colored dress like the bold royal blue one below and add a white or red earring to complete your holiday look! Keep in mind, you can wear any shade of red or blue…anything goes! Take a look in your closet. I’m certain you have the right pieces to put together a perfectly patriotic look for the Fourth.
