Cam Explains ‘Untamed’ Album Artwork

Country newcomer Cam is gearing up to release her full-length studio album, Untamed. The album includes 11 new tracks, including “Burning House,” which recently entered the Top 10 at Country radio.

After debuting the album’s cover art, the California native released the album track listing by giving fans a sneak peek at the sexy back cover of the album, which showcases her bare back. Sounds Like Nashville caught up with Cam at the 2015 BMI Awards to talk about the daring artwork.

“I love it. I was kind of nervous because it’s kind of sexy,” she told us. “My mom texted me and she was like ‘Did you lose your shirt? Like why are you naked on the back?’ I feel like we did it in such a creative way and that’s what I’m trying really hard to do, to keep one upping everything and keep making something really interesting for fans to watch and get to enjoy. So the more left turns I can make, the better. I hope everybody likes it.”

The album features 11 songs, all of which were co-written by Cam. The project, due out December 11, was produced by GRAMMY®-winner Jeff Bhasker (Bruno Mars, Beyoncé, FUN., The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift) and Tyler Johnson (Ed Sheeran, OneRepublic, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Mikky Ekko).
