Carly Pearce won her first-ever CMT Music Award on Wednesday evening (June 6), for Breakthrough Video of the Year for her debut single “Every Little Thing.” The singer-songwriter tearfully walked to the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to accept her award. Giving an emotional speech, Pearce shared her gratitude for the fans that helped her take home the coveted award.

“Oh my God, y’all!” Pearce exclaimed through tears. “I sat up in the stands with my mom for so many years wondering if I would ever get here. Fans, you have absolutely changed everything for me so thank you for voting for me.”

Dressed in a sleek black romper, the singer-songwriter also thanked her video director, label and manager for their support over the years.

“Oh my goodness. I’m freaking out,” she confessed. “I just have to say one more thing — to the guy that broke my heart — thank you!”

As she raised her award up high in the air, Pearce’s big grin further showcased her pure excitement and gratitude.

Pearce released her debut single, “Every Little Thing,” in 2017. She penned the song with Emily Shackelton and busbee.
