Is there anything better than living the dream by traveling across the country and playing shows to your biggest fans in a new city every night? Actually, yes, according to Carly Pearce, who will soon open up for fellow country music artist and friend, Brett Young.

Back before both Young and Pearce charted on country radio, they used to run into each other during writers’ nights around Nashville and got to know each other over time. Now that they both have made names for themselves respectively in the format, Pearce can’t wait to join forces for their upcoming adventures and get to perform alongside someone she confides in throughout the industry.

“It’s awesome. We’re under the same label, and it made sense for that with my release date coming up and things like that. It’s going to be a special tour because of the history of us playing a lot of shows together when we were both just songwriters trying to figure out how to get whoever needed us to hear us, hear us. I think he is one of the best voices in country. I’m so proud of his star exploding. It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Pearce said to Sounds Like Nashville recently.

As for collaborating, Pearce is definitely on board to squeeze a few writing sessions in there whenever they find free time with one another. But what she’s really banking on is the chance to team up with Young on stage for a duet or two to surprise their fans on the road.

“I hope that we get to sing together, because I love his voice. Bring me out there, let me sing,” she lightheartedly pleaded.

The Caliville Tour will kick off in Charlottesville, Virginia, on October 14, and run throughout the fall season. Fans can find more details about the tour on Pearce’s website.
