Carly Pearce Pranks Rascal Flatts (With a Little Help from BF Michael Ray)

Carly Pearce has spent much of the summer on the road opening for Rascal Flatts’ “Back to Us Tour,” which wrapped over the weekend. As she prepared for her final show with the award-winning trio, the Kentucky native was thrilled when her boyfriend, fellow country singer Michael Ray, dropped in for a surprise visit.
Set up at a nail salon, Pearce was over the moon when her other half walked in to share in her last night on the tour.
“Sitting in a nail salon and in walks my favorite human in the world who says “I couldn’t miss your last @rascalflatts show”. I meannnn- how am I this lucky? BRB crying,” she wrote with a photo of the two embracing outside of her bus. Added Ray, “Day off ✈️ and surprise my favorite human on her last night of tour….”
With her love by her side, Pearce couldn’t help but plan a hilarious tour prank on her talented hosts. During the set, Pearce was to walk out and sing Zedd’s “The Middle,” though this time, she sent Ray out instead. Donning jeans and a tour tank, Ray strutted out on stage with a microphone, with Pearce’s voice echoing into the amphitheater as she sang from side stage.
Eventually, Pearce made her way out to the stage, high-fiving Ray and switching spots to continue the rest of the song. The “Hide The Wine” singer’s successful prank had Flatts’ Gary LeVox bent over in hysterics.
Joining the Flatts tour was a dream come true for the rising female superstar, who has looked up to the long-lasting trio for years.

“Can’t believe I played my last show on the #backtous tour last night,” she wrote on Instagram. “It is so special to get to tour with some of your heroes, but even more special when your heroes turn out to be some of the nicest, most welcoming people in the world. THANK YOU @rascalflatts for giving me the summer of my dreams AND for giving @danandshay & I the best end of tour gift ever!!!!!”
Though the “Back to Us Tour” may have ended, Pearce’s time on the road is far from over. The singer will open for the remaining stadium dates from Luke Bryan’s “What Makes You Country Tour.” As for her off-time, though, there’s no doubt she’ll be spending it with her special guy.
