Brad Paisley Proves to Carrie Underwood That He Can ‘Cry Pretty’ and So Can You

Thanks to a new Snapchat filter, Brad Paisley is able to 'cry pretty,' unlike the lyrics to his CMA co-host Carrie Underwood's song suggests.

Sorry, Carrie Underwood, but it turns out that you can ‘Cry Pretty.’ Fellow country superstar Brad Paisley took to Instagram with his glitter eyes (thanks to a Snapchat filter) to lip sync along with the power ballad released by his longtime friend. “Can’t cry pretty? We’ll just see about that. I beg to differ – @carrieunderwood … I can #crypretty,” wrote the West Virginia native alongside a hilarious video. The Oklahoma native quickly responded to Paisley’s video, agreeing that he was more than capable of pulling off the glitter tears. “Oooohhhh, @bradpaisley you make glitter tears look goooooood,” she said with a repost of the clip.

The ribbing between Paisley and Underwood goes way back as the two have spent many years co-hosting the CMA Awards together. The duo will return for the 11th consecutive time together at the 52nd annual CMA Awards, airing live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. The song is the lead single and title track from Underwood’s most recent album, which was released Sept. 14. Pick up your copy now. P.S. You too can ‘cry pretty’ by scanning the Snapchat code below (swipe to the second image). To unlock your own pair of glitter eyes, take a photo of the code and you are good to go!
