If there’s one thing that all country fans know collectively, it’s the fact that Carrie Underwood can bring the house down in a matter of a four-minute-long performance.

The singer glittered as she came out from behind the sparkled bead curtains during the introduction to her hit, “Cry Pretty,” with a bedazzled makeup look symbolizing gorgeous tears during the 2018 CMT Music Awards appearance. Coming out to center stage, Underwood stopped everyone in their tracks as they all shot their attention toward her during her gigantic vocal riffs climaxing throughout the song.

Before she even finished the last note of the anthem, the crowd erupted in applause and another standing ovation from the star. Looking out to the sea of people, Underwood basked in the glory of her crowning moment while everyone in the area continued to scream with approval toward her live rendition.

Underwood earned the Female Video of the Year Award at the ceremony, for her production on “The Champion” featuring Ludacris. She spent her acceptance speech thanking God for giving her the opportunity to carry out her dream, as well as the fans for remaining so supportive throughout the entire experience.

The 2018 CMT Music Awards were hosted by Little Big Town, and aired live from the Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville.
