Carrie Underwood is known for a lot of things: her voice, her talent, her songs. But one thing people always notice about the country superstar is her fit and healthy body.

Maintaining her physique despite her busy balance of parenting and work, Underwood continually puts working out at the top of her to-do list. Even if it’s only a quick sweat session, she makes sure to burn some calories throughout some part of the day to keep her game at its best.

“I definitely do my part when it comes to my personal fitness. I want to be strong. It does take a lot to be on stage. I’m running around and singing, like those are, being active and singing at the same time is pretty difficult to do and it helps me in every aspect of my life,” Underwood said.

Not only does the singer rely on workouts to achieve her physical goals, but she also exercises as a form of therapeutic release from her other stresses. Underwood understands that a healthy body transfers over into a healthy mind, and she needs that sense of clarity to grit through everything else going on in her life.

“When I work out, I feel like I have a clearer head,” the singer explained. “I feel like I’m just ready for anything, and it feels good to make my body move like it was designed to do. So, I try my best to always stay healthy and fit, and then if there are any special things coming up, I do my best to get ready for them. I like to work out and I eat healthy. I think that’s just something that’s part of what I do. My body is my tool, I’ve got to keep it good.”

Carrie Underwood’s latest song with Ludacris, “The Champion,” will play as a part of the 2018 Winter Olympics broadcasted on NBC.
